Jesus Did...Do You?

JESUS DID...DO YOU?

      It seems that many people wish they could do all the amazing things that Jesus did.  He healed the sick, made the lame to walk, the deaf to hear and even raised the dead.  There are even some who claim that they can  perform these same miracles today.  But what about doing the things Jesus did that we all can do? 

THINGS LIKE…

Being baptized. 

“Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him.”  Matthew 3:13  When John tried to prevent it Jesus said to him… “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all  righteousness.”  Matthew 3:15

Going to worship.

“So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up.  And as His  custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.”  Luke 4:16

Living a life filled with good.

“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”  Acts 10:38

Spending much time in prayer.

“And when He had sent the multitude away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray.  Now when evening came, He was alone there.”  Matthew 14:23

We can all wish we could do the great things that Jesus did.  The truth is, the greatest things Jesus did were things we can all do.  He obeyed the will of God for His earthly life.  He regularly went to the house of worship.  He lived a life filled with good deeds.  He spent much of his time in prayer.
