God took the fragrance of a flower...

The majesty of a tree...

The gentleness of morning dew...

The calm of a quiet sea...

The beauty of the twilight hour...

The soul of a starry night...

The laughter of a rippling brook...

The grace of a bird in flight...

Then God fashioned from these things

A creation like no other,

And when his masterpiece was through

He called it simply – Mother.

Matt Walsh created a documentary that became an internet sensation where he simply asked contemporary thinkers, “What is a Woman?” The backlash he received from progressive modern thinkers was both overwhelming and expected. When God formed creation, he formed Man, then separately and complimentarily formed Woman. The differences between man and woman are obvious to    honest observers, and we celebrate those distinct qualities in our mothers today.

When we behold the beautiful creation of women, it is no wonder that God withheld his declaration of “very good” until she was formed. While God declares very good at the forming of her body, when she consummates her marriage with her husband and rears children we also see more of this beauty in her actions. To all of our mothers, whether you’ve reared your own children, or helped rear others, we celebrate you today, you are beautiful!
