Chosen

Chosen
More than we can imagine
beyond our wildest dream.
We are chosen for riches
by the God that redeems.

Lord, why share your wealth
your splendor and your majesty?
For such a lowly people,
that sin so readily.

When we are chosen for riches
for a life of grace untold.
Why are we still searching
the world for silver and gold?

For the treasures of this earth
although dazzling to the eye,
will pale in comparison
to the riches from on high.

For those with all their wealth
have nothing to compare,
with the gift of God’s grace
that He has chosen to share.

An inheritance by adoption
not one gained by our deeds
made so easily available,
one that fulfills all our needs.

So let us live as chosen,
one body - joined in love,
sharing the wealth with others
till we all meet Christ above.
