Be Not Dismayed

BE NOT DISMAYED

Be not dismayed what-e’re betide, God will take care of you; Beneath His wings of love abide, God will take care of you.  WE sing it, but do we believe it?  Paul wrote to the church at Rome… What then shall we say to these things?  If God is for us, who can be against us?”  Romans 8:31

Christians can live confidently in spite of the turmoil and unrest in the world.  Christ promised his followers peace. (John 14:27)  It matters not what the need, Christ is the answer.  Even if we are facing death, poor health, loss of job or material things, Christ is the answer.  Remember Job?  How blessed he was to be one of the most successful men of his time.  He had land, servants, livestock, and children and Satan took it all away.  He tried to get Job to curse God through his wife and his “friends.”  How did he respond?  He said, Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return there.  The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away;  Blessed be the name of the Lord.”  In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong.
Job 1:21-22

We must realize that the body and life belong to God.  He gives us both and He will call for their return to Him when He is ready to call.  We are only stewards of what He has entrusted to us.  Trials will come.            Temptations to turn away from God will be put in our way.  Satan will make sure of it.  We need to remember all the promises that have been made to us.  No temptation has overtaken you except is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”  I Corinthians 10:13

Things may get very difficult for Christians in this life very soon.  How will we respond?  Where will we put our trust?  Who will we look to for help?  No matter what may be the test, God will take care of you;  Lean weary one upon His breast, God will take care of you.  BE NOT DISMAYED!
