Full of Strength
Full of Strength
This week my daughter, Avery, was struggling to open the top to a bottle. She called for help once, but continued to struggle to undo the lid. After a moment of silence, she burst into celebration of her victory! She then ran into the next room to find her mom so she could tell her the good news:
“Momma! I prayed that God would make me strong to open it and he heard, and I did it!”
When Jayde told me this story, I was filled with joy and warmth. In so much that goes wrong, it is wonderful to see a young child learning to talk to and trust in their God! I don’t know if God gave her the strength to open that bottle or not, but I’m so thankful she is seeking him out for strength.
Far too often, I look to my own abilities or for the help of men, in an effort to find solutions. God help me have the faith of a child to look to you for my strength.
that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
