Leaving Home

Leaving Home

If home is where the heart is, this is certainly home. I have spent as much time with the Ruston church as I have anywhere else. Actually, when you factor how much time I have spent between various ministries and activities, my time with the church here far exceeds the time I was involved with my first “home church”. I am forever grateful for the love and support that I have always received from so many of you. Leaving you has been much more difficult than I could ever express, but I am confident God is working great things for us all!

My prayer is that you will demonstrate that loving service to Matthew and Kacie, and whoever the Lord is preparing to come and serve as the preaching minister. Pray fervently for that man. Pray to God for a man that is not just available, but prepared to come and serve. My prayer is that he is in such fellowship with God, so prepared in the Word, so yielded to the Spirit, that his presence overwhelms the memory of our time together. I will never forget the opportunity that you afforded us and you will always be in our prayers!

“Therefore be alert, remembering that for three years I did not cease night or day to admonish every one with tears. 32 And now I commend you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified”

Acts 20:30-31 ESV
